Oregon leads 16-12 with 12 minutes left in the first half. FWIW, Oregon thrashed Utah earlier, so they're probably at least OK.
Giltay isn't the story. It's frosh Okorie, who finished the half going coast-to-coast and finishing with a pret-tay runner high off the glass. He has decent size, plays ultra smooth, and has everything you need to be a scoring force driving to the basket. I think Braun said Smith has named him the starting PG.
Also, Stanford defense looks very sharp. Oregon could also be described as lackadaisical (lots of turnovers).
Stanford leads at the half, 34-32 over Oregon.
Agree on Okorie... 4.0 out of Brewster Academy, NH. He was admitted to Harvard also.
Could be a redux on Brevin Knight, Stanford career assist leader, first round NBA pick in 1997.
Okorie shoots well, handles the ball naturally, and penetrates. He is s dual threat. Just a frosh. "LIKE"
More worried about taller foes. We will be out-rebounded in some games this year. Speed and 3s will be critical.
