Quite a cunnundrum.  Anderson, Gardner, and Mauro are undersized for the NT position.  To make the 3-4 work, especially against a running team, you need a dominant 300 pound type in the middle.

Is Nwakfor so good that he wouldn't stay five years?  Would it be like playing Andrew Luck in the Sun Bowl?  Yes, you burn the redshirt to win one game, but the player may not use that year of elgibility anyway.  Goodness knows, we sure could have used even a rookie Luck in the Sun Bowl.
