M WP made it to the final 4, but besides that, wrestling has so far been the most successful LSJU men's program for the current academic year. We'll see how M swim does this week at NCAAs in Atlanta. Probably MGym will be the top finishing men’s team
Agree with MGym being the top finishing men's team. I don't put much credit in MWP making Final 4, that's essentially the same as a participation trophy given the gap between #4 and #5 in men's water polo.
Our men's sports programs have not been performing well the past several years. Men's gymnastics is the only men's sport to win a national championship since COVID. Looking back at Stanford's NCAA titles since 2004, Stanford has won 50 NCAA championships, with just 14 men's titles (men's soccer x 3, golf x 2, water polo x 1, VB x 2, gymnastics x 7).
Your total count for men's nattys for the period is correct, but MVB only won one - in 2010 - not 2, since 2004.
Even these guys agree it was one MVB natty - good times...<sigh>
