I was at the game yesterday, and I was lucky enough to run into Garvin. (I also ran into Spiny Norman at halftime.) Garvin and I talked for a while about this team, about Andrew Luck, about Jim Plunkett, about John Elway, and even about Garvin's struggles to follow the team from 3,000 miles away back in the 70s and 80s before the days of cable television. But here's the most important thing we covered -- the greatness of this CardBoard community. In my daily life, there is no one that I know who is as passionate about Stanford sports as I am. But here on this board, EVERYONE is. Garvin and I talked about how great it is to watch a Stanford game on TV and then head over to the computer to join the Cardboard celebration. That's meant a lot to me over the past few years, and I want to thank you all.
Please clear the field! The game is not over!
