Cool.  Hopefully it means that fans won't be subjected to a halftime performance of the worst marching band in America.

I would not expect The LSJUMB to perform at either the UH or UM games given students won't be back until later in the month (school starts Sept 22 with move ins starting on Sept 15), which also means very few students at the games.

Honestly, that's pretty freaking sad.  Stanford students are only in school for four home games this year and one of those games is against Elon.  And the SMU game is two days after Thanksgiving so not many students at that game, either.

we should have two of our first three games on the road, and preferably two back-to-back on the east coast and the team stays on the east coast between those games

The team has never stayed on the east coast between back to back east coast games.

I know they have not, but they should if they had two east coast games before school starts.
