The grades that I've been seeing indicate that the Giants have received a lot of value in their trades over the past week. They lose a net $10.16 million in salary, gained eight prospects, seven of whom are quite strong, one of whom is Jeff Kent's son -- so that's fun.
I'm going to make a prediction. Right now, the Giants W/L record is .425. After having shed Ray, Mahle, Miller, Kilian, Arraez and Ramos, you would think the Giants would do much worse. I think they'll have a better W/L record at the end of the season than .425.
After this season, Chapman will be owed roughly $100M with a no trade clause, Adames will be owed roughly $155M with a no trade clause and Devers will be owed roughly $225M
Quite frankly, I don’t see any of them going anywhere.
