Stanford has 5 transfer OL on the roster. None of them played Saturday. 4 are injured - Mejia, Kilstrom, Fattig and Prongos. Kai Greer has never played at his prior school (Georgia Tech) or Stanford so I assume that we should not expect any production from him.
But the other 4 represent the attempt to upgrade the OL. All are injured. That's probably somewhere between $500K and $1M (my estimate/guess), of OL transfers sitting on the sidelines.
The remaining OLinemen are not young or inexperienced. Fisher Anderson is a 5th year. Simione Pale is a 4th year. Kahlil House, Charlie Hoitink and Ziron Brown are all 3rd years. They have all struggled. It's just really frustrating to see the OL perform so ineffectively now across 4 separate head coaches.
