Stanford loses 3:2.
Stanford had a great initial part of the second half and got up 2-1 on a pk and a great strike from range. Then they gave up a silly handball PK and another foul almost immediately after that lead to a third UVA goal. This really was a game they should have won. Beyond counterattacking, UVA didn't show much.
This team has a higher ceiling than the last few years - just more dynamic on offense. But they also have a lower floor - right now there are too many fouls, cards and defensive errors. Maybe they grow out of it, maybe they don't.
