I never get tired of saying this: I freaking love it when inner city kids come to Stanford and become men.
David Moseley and Richard Sherman--freaking love 'em. Sherman goes back to his high school in Compton and talks to them about the importance of academics. I remember that hothead when he was still a receiver for us. After a disappointing performance (maybe Big Game?), he had to be restrained by his own teammates from going at it with another Stanford player. Don't know what that was about, and I'm certainly not saying that it (or his trash talking) is right, but hey, that's our Richard.
That video is awesome. That's our Richard. But I am curious what he is referring to toward the end when he embraces RGIII. They exchange enthusiastic kind words, and Richard says, "You been havin' a helluva year. I been proud of you since you, since you SPURNED us! Hey I didn't wanna tell nobody what I told you, but I didn't want you to go down that path!"
What could he be talking about if not Stanford? Was RGIII at all a possibility for Stanford? Or is there some super-secret club that I don't know about?
