A lot of commenters on some of the women's basketball boards were saying this just showed how overrated Stanford is, and any team who is in their region has to be "licking their chops."

This is typical East-coast bias at work. It's axiomatic that the Pac-12 is weak, so if one Pac-12 team beats another by a big margin, that just confirms that the loser is weak and says nothing for the winner who merely feasted on a cupcake, while if one Pac-12 team wins in a tough battle, it just proves the winner was overrated because they struggled against a weak Pac-12 team.
