For all intents and purposes, Stanford DID give away the tickets to last night's game. I paid $15 to sit in a seat that cost $165/game to sit in for the regular season [Section 3, lower reserved -- $2000 [buck/cardinal club donation] plus $795 [season ticket] divided by 17 games] = $164.41 per game]
This year's marketing slogan was: "Commit to the Court."Â I'm afraid CompSci87 may have already hit upon next year's:
"Despite being close, it was pretty dull to watch and I didn't regret not being there in person."
I do think some credit should be given to the 150 [give or take] students who were there, though. With Andrew Zimmerman [looking more mountain man than ever] front and center, they made more noise last night than I can remember at almost any game this season...or maybe it's just the that the upper level bench seats reflect the noise back better when they are [quite literally] entirely empty...
