This, I believe, is a new observation about SC QBs.  One that Florida QBs had suffered in the past.  The emerging premise throughout the NFL is that the SC QBs play on SC teams that are too talented.  Their WRs are always open.  Their OLs are almost NFL worthy.  So the QBs in the SC system get too comfortable and never give up on plays.  It works great at SC where they are so safe in the pocket and their WRs will eventually get open.  In the NFL that faith in the system sometimes leaves them looking foolish (see Sanchez, Leinart, Palmer, Cassel).

In many ways Barkley exemplifies the loyalty to the system and possesses the worst physical flaws of the prior SC QBs.  If he is to achieve more than the others he will need to recognize failing plays BEFORE the blindside rusher hits.  If he can't figure out he is in a loser play right at the snap, he will get blindsided and then benched (or hurt).

Looks like Andrew Luck had to adapt pretty quickly.  Hopefully his the new free agents they signed and draft will improve his OL so he will have some longevity.  I still cringe at the publicized hit he took because his RT Winston Justice (USC) decided not to bother blocking his man.
