I didn't have a television until I was 23. I thought I was missing out on watching the Lakers and everything else that was on TV. Turns out I was lucky.
I almost mentioned Dick Enberg, but the lasting effect of the Rams' broadcasts is that I can still sing all of the words to the Budweiser, Olympia and Hamms beer songs. My parents were mortified that their six-year-old could belt those out after church.
