Here is the issue-

Report year/ SINGLE YEAR APR
2010/963
2011/921
2012/923
2013/923

(remember that report year lags 1 year behind, so today's 2013 report is for the 2011-12 academic year... and the 2011 fall football season).

So guess what happens when that 963 rolls off the books and is replaced by XXX? We need around a 950 from this current year to stay above 930.

AND..."our own" 71 Bear explains why 930 is an important number and how the rolling average is the gift that keeps on giving (emphasis mine):

"This is a four year rolling average. The score for 11-12 was 923. This does not bode well for the future because it is in the "penalty zone" and will remain on the scorecard for three more years. Also, we can anticipate one more terrible year (12-13) before Dykes can (hopefully) begin turning things around.
