Thanks, 71Bear.
I didn't know Anne well but my wife and I took her Summer Shakespeare Program class at Foothill College twice. The course was built around that year's program at Ashland and included a long weekend trip to Oregon to see the plays at the end of the class. Anne was a bright, articulate and thoughtful teacher and many in the community audited this class each year due to her presence. For those who didn't know Anne, in addition to being a longtime member of the Stanford community she was also the mother of John and Kate Paye of Stanford Football and Basketball fame.
Here's the SFGate obituary (complete with the reference to Bear the Poodle) and and an announcement of her Memorial service from Foothill College.
