If he can't take a run at either David Ash or Colt McCoy - or thinks that Swoopes is going to pass him by - then I don't think he'd be any higher on the depth chart for us. We're stronger and deeper at QB than the Longhorns are.

You mean Case McCoy--Colt's been in the NFL for a while.  But I don't think Case is with the team anymore?  Memory's fuzzy on that one.  Point still stands--if Connor Brewer wasn't heir apparent this year, then he won't be contending at Stanford.  Were his academics good enough for Stanford anyway?

Also, don't forget Chase Beeler...I think he was a transfer as well.
