Hank, do you give helmet stickers to your students?

Wow -- that's an excellent idea, and I might even be able to get away with Axes. Believe it or not, I teach at Stanford Middle School (named after Leland, Sr., not Jr.). I love my school for many reasons, but here's one of the coolest things about it. Our district has a dress code, and if students choose to wear sweatshirts they must be solid white or red -- unless it's a Stanford sweatshirt. This means that every day there are kids wearing Stanford gear that could've come right out of the Stanford Bookstore. Sadly, there are no C al alums on staff. It would give me a warm feeling in my heart to know that a C al alum was staring out at a classroom full of Stanford sweatshirts...
