In the popular mind, a leader is an extraverted rah-rah stir up the troops type. Introverts, however, are better at listening to others and soliciting feedback. I have found an introverted leader works best when a leader must lead leaders. And the Stanford football team is full of guys who were leaders of their respective high school teams.
