To switch the home alternation, somebody has to skip hosting one year.

No one team is "skipping" a year, right? Or both are "skipping" a year if you want to look at it that way. Cal doesn't get to host as would be customary in 14 but will get 15. Which means we won't get to host it as customary in 15. I don't see the big difference about whose year the neutral venue thing happens in.

Or am I missing something?
