Fantastic play by Skov in a season full of great plays by him.Â
I'm actually surprised that more teams don't run this play as part of their regular goal line defense. On the plus side, if your guy times it right, you have a high probability of dropping the runner for a loss or getting a sack. On the minus side, if you mistime the snap, you get a penalty of half the distance to the goal, a trifling amount, but you also get to see what play the offense called. The upside is way bigger than the possible downside.
