Thing is, a lot of the buzz before the season indicated that the cupboard wasn't bare. Heard that from 59ers and Travis Haney, who regularly polls coaches, was saying his sources felt the same way. And of course Tosh and Teddy recruited quite well, at least according to recruiting rankings.

Now, apparently, there aren't enough armaments in the armory. Maybe that reflects poorly on the top 59er, maybe it doesn't, but it sure isn't a good sign.

Anyway, I hope recruiting isn't supposed to be the 59ers' salvation -- or that Yikes is a better evaluator and developer than top-end recruiter. C'al's 9th in the Pac-12 in 247's consensus ratings, and reportedly their top recruit -- Koa Farmer -- is intrigued by the idea of jumping ship.
