I do wonder whether Shaw is sandbagging on some of this stuff*. IIRC he went over-the-top with talking about difficult it would be, how good the Ducks were, etc. last year.
*(obviously the Gardner stuff can't be faked, though I'd forgive Sark a triumphant told-you-so if it turned out to be a hoax.)
