Moments like this one, when you are forced to "step back" a little bit and look at the bigger picture (the same thing happens after losing a significant game) ... remind me what a big deal it is to me that I feel that I really like my team's players on a personal level. I usually feel like they share my values, I admire them, etc.  I wonder how much there might be fans of, for example, Oregon, that might love their team but feel that some of the players are simply not very much of the same world as they are. Would not be as fun to root for a team in that way.
