BCS #9 with the computers placing Stanford at #8. Not bad.
Stanford can get back up to BCS #6 or so when the bowls make their picks. And at those levels a BCS bowl might actually elect to voluntarily pick Stanford. At a minimum, Stanford will be in the BCS at-large conversation for the balance of the year. And since UCLA has a terrible reputation for out of state travel winning out should enable the Alamo Bowl to be Stanford's likely destination if the at-large thing falls through.
Yes, I am assuming that UCLA with Jack will beat ASU and USC, but then lose to Oregon.
