Frankly, I think the conspiratorial element of the criticism here is ridiculous. It was just a bad call on a bang-bang play, the nature of which officials have been instructed to take very seriously. Not every bad call involves the grassy knoll.

I don't think anyone is promoting a conspiracy theory here - just poor officiating. We have complained about Pac-12 officiating being terrible - often opining for the quality of officials from other conferences - but here we have an example where the officials from the ACC were terrible and thank goodness the replay officials were from the Pac-12 and they made the right calls.
