Another reminder that our bowl tie-ins are not very compelling from a national interest point of view, and is also not very satisfactory for settling "who is better" arguments.
1. Rose Bowl: Stanford vs Michigan State.
2. Alamo Bowl: Oregon vs Texas - Should be interesting, although it sucks for it to be a de-facto home game for the Longhorns. Texas is not an elite team this year so Oregon needs to put up a good showing if it wants to be seen as one.
3. Holiday Bowl: ASU vs Texas Tech - Ugh, the Pac-12 runner up (8-1 in conference) goes up against the #6 Big-12 team (4-5 in conference). Major downsides for Pac-12 reputation if ASU loses, not much upside with a win.
4. Sun Bowl: UCLA vs Virginia Tech - I think BCS #17 UCLA deserves better than this. Hopefully this will be a blowout similar to the Orange Bowl
5. Las Vegas Bowl: USC vs Fresno State.
6. Fight Hunger Bowl: Washington vs BYU
7. New Mexico Bowl: WSU vs Colorado State
8. V100 Bowl: Arizona vs Boston College - Battle of two of the best running backs in the country.
9. Hawaii Bowl: OSU vs Boise State
