Well great. Â If it is not so painful to go to these other bowls, then let\'s go!
Seriously, everyone knows the Fiesta Bowl is the least prestigious of the four BCS bowls. Â Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta. Â Obviously!
Besides TCU was just in the Fiesta Bowl. Â Ordinarly THAT would be the reason to move TCU out of the bowl using the "For the good of the bowl" type clause.
The Rose Bowl has to have this forced non-AQ clause precisely because it has two automatic tie-ins. Â With two tie-ins it is never the last bowl to select. Â And it is the last bowl to select that is normally forced to take that lowly automatic non-AQ.
Besides all of these efforts are sad attempts to keep the Government out of the BCS\'s business, errrr...charity work. Â :)
The what seems fair stuff clearly does not apply, and has not applied to other Pac-10 teams over the years. Â It is all a pathetic attempt to avoid a government mandated playoff system. Â Thereby letting the teams with the biggest flock of snow birds dominate the BCS bowl invite system for years and years.
