If Bloomgren leaves it might not be for more money. It also offers a chance to get away from Shaw and most likely have full autonomy on the offense. And frankly, it would afford Shaw the opportunity to bring in an OC with some of his own ideas and breathe some creativity into the offense.
As for Anderson as DC, it is pretty much a no brainier. DB is a critical position for the defense, but not many college coaches know how to develop 3-4 OLBs. Promoting Anderson would allow Shaw to bring in a new DB coach, and probably one with NFL experience.
