I'll just echo a point made previously: it's all about the available pool of elite talent. Sure, I think Stanford is indeed at a high point with regard to attracting such elite talent, but we cannot land "a steady stream of elite talent" year after year if the admittable talent is simply not there. Loot at the situation at NT, for example.
