FCS football counts, but if there is no NCAA team title associated with the event then forget it. Same rule would applies for ultimate, synchronized swimming, rugby, badminton, table tennis, etc.
And with SC and Bush the rule definitely applies. The NCAA would have taken that title away, but the AP did not. So does that count or not? Easy rule...No NCAA team title, no need to tally. And if the NCAA takes away your team title (see UCLA softball) then the tally is reduced.
