I don't much like ... moles.  Not the Soviet spy moles, the furry kill you plants kind. 

My mother in law, a very elegant lady, sold real estate at one time.  Her solution for ground rodents?  Pee on them.  Maybe not directly...but supposedly human urine scares them into departing.  Worked for me.  YMMV.
