How much do top recruits really consider the TBI issue? Probably driven by misplaced stereotypes, I would still expect that the majority of these recruits don't let the TBI issue impact their decisions. Primarily, this is because kids have a hard time project a potential negative outcome in 20-30 years against the prospect of millions of dollars. I think a well communicated pitch on the probability of "making it" in the NFL and the real economics (after agent fees, taxes, etc) for the majority of NFL players would do a better job of grounding some players in a reality that they shouldn't put too many eggs in the NFL basket.
