EMT-P(aramedic)
EMT-I(ntermediate)
EMT-B(asic)
ACLS
BLS
First Responder certified
First Aid/CPR certified
where EMT = emergency medical technician.
There's also Emergency Medical Responder somewhere in the list. And then above the top is a variety of things - Critical Care Nurse; Physician. There's also Wilderness EMT and Outdoor Emergency Care which are more or less parallel to this scale, but focused on backcountry response. And the military has its own levels of specialization. When push comes to shove whoever is on scene who knows what to do is the person who does it.
And for what it's worth, I'm getting my EMT-B license this fall.
