I saw/heard enough badmouthing that I sent him a message on Facebook (or something) saying not to listen to the noise and that most fans were looking forward to seeing him in 2012. I don't have any specifics on what was being said, but that's not something I'd normally do so some of it must have been pretty severe.
No idea how it compares to what Hobbi went through, I'd expect Hobbi's was significantly worse just because USC's fanbase is so much larger, even if both have equal asshole quotients (which I also doubt, but can't really prove).
