Y'know, I remember an awful lot of Trent and Chase coming from the outside and causing a lot of problems for Unabashedly Scamming Charlatans as well.  I also remember Barkley getting gun shy and off-target after the Parry-Murphy Sandwich hit.  And Hobbi's a redshirt freshman, making his first start (?), going against one of the best tackle-for-loss teams in the nation.  Not exactly putting him in a position to succeed.

The whole "blame Hobbi" thing doesn't hold water for me.

The S:C lineman who was probably most abused was their LT #70 Aundrey Walker. Walker lost his tackle job later that season, and is currently third on their depth chart at RG (though maybe second if Mama is out).

However, that was the conventional wisdom at the time, and Hobbi received almost all of the of the wrath of s:C fans and gloating from Stanford fans. Goes to show that many folks don't seem to actually watch the games.
