I just saw the vegas line at -3.5. If you were to bet on any game this year favoring Stanford to cover the spread, this is the one.
Schematically, we are a nightmare for ASU. They do not match up well against us on either side of the ball.
Their inexperienced defense will give up at least 24 points to Stanford and our defense tends to make seasoned, experienced, playmaking QBs look especially bad; this QB is making his third start and their offense probably will not make it out of the low teens.
Yes, they beat USC but they had three very long TD passes that took advantage of their inexperienced corners. USC also kept moving up their stud safety, Sua Cravens, into more of a linebacker role for some reason...not sure why since the rushing attack was effectively shutdown by their front seven.
Feeling very good about the outcome of this game in Tempe.
