It doesn't work that way... When we predict a score, we are predicting asu's score, not how many points out defense gives up.  A prediction would take account the possibility of special teams and defensive touchdowns and short fields because of turnovers.  So you don't get to discount 10 pts.

Your broader point is correct though.  The defense played well enough that a competent offense should have won.
