Putting Seale in the game demonstrated either niavity or hubris.Â
Among the myriad problems plaguing the offense, one of them is a constant belief that if you just keep beating your head against the wall, eventually your head will break it down. In this case, the coaches have convinced themselves the OL is great, and based on the fact they've always had success in the past, they will have it again if they just stick to it. The OL isn't opening holes, so let's try our 3rd RB and 4th RB.
It's like having a car with an engine that won't run, and getting a new paint job as a solution to getting the engine working. Just Substitute the broken engine for the run blocking scheme and Seale for the paint job.Â
