Granted all of those teams are currently ranked in the top 5, but the last loss is clearly an indication that the team has raised the white flag. Being shutout is not something that happens in Sumlin's system. The score was 45 - 0 at half time!
Actually, what has been learned is that South Carolina is not good (see losses to Missouri and Kentucky and a close-ish win over Vandy), meaning that Texas A&M should never have been ranked highly. This is possibly the best example of SEC bias. A&M has ZERO good wins, nothing they've actually done this year is impressive. They're probably a top-50ish team. But because they and South Carolina were highly overrated to start the season, it means MissSt, Ole Miss, and Alabama must be top-5 teams. Beating A&M is about as impressive as beating UW...
Really though, the only "it could be worse" we have to look at is Derek Mason's miserable life in Vandy. Oof. At least they beat Charleston Southern...
