Yes, I went and it was not very useful as far as evaluating the freshmen or checking for improvements in returners. Nice to get a look at the team but that's about. My initial impression of the freshmen is that Johnson could end up very good in that she is very long, moves and jumps well, and looked very active inside. How ready is she to play? No idea, probably has a lot of learning to do. McPhee sat out with what was described as a minor foot problem so no clue there. Also not much to note about Rooks, just because it was all drills and plenty of dummy ones at that. Her shot looked fine, she looks the part, that's all I can say. Guards shot a lot and we have a lot who can hit threes. Greenfield looked good and aggressive playing the three. Picknell looked improved, seemed confident out there and made a few nice moves, but again, no scrimmage so very little time to observe how the posts play with the ball. Same with Kailee Johnson. All in all, still in wait and see mode. Nobody stood out like Chiney did and nobody struggled. How good will the team be? I have no clue.Â
