as I recall one hole was caused by not playing Colorado this year as part of the home and home with them.  They talked around the time of the Pac-12 announcement of playing the game and having it be a non-conference game, guess that did not fly.

Cal is still playing Colorado this year as a non conference game.

I have no idea why they had this other hole in their schedule that has now been filled by the Blue Hose.
