Karma is somewhat hand-wavy and quasi-mystical in nature.  No, this collapse was clearly the lack of coaching focus and a dip in talent.  No karma here--just a cumulative failure starting with the graduation of real talent and the underdevelopment of what could have been talent.  They made their bed.
