If Hogan, Peat, Carter, and Hoffpauir return, Stanford could bring back 16/22 starters, including 9/11 on offense, a QB in his 4th year as a starter, and all five OL with potentially 91 returning starts between them.  That's a recipe for success.

When you consider Oregon loses Mariota + three Senior OL and had a combined 108 returning starts going into 2014, and UW loses four Senior OL and had 124 starts going into 2014, Stanford should be considered the favorite to win the Pac-12 North in 2015 if those guys return.

Beyond the big IF you started with, I think you also have to look at who Oregon has coming back and as replacements before you write them off as Pac 12 North favourites.
But Stanford could have the personnel to be very good.
