This is the worst of reporters, "I've heard some who think he may".  That's not reporting; it is repeating speculation.  Gee, how hard is that?  It would be one thing if he said sources told him that Harbaugh was going after Stanford coaches.  It'd be another thing if he was speculating, and at least took responsibility for the speculation, right or wrong.  But no, he repeats idle speculation.

To his credit, he appears to have been the first person to report directly from the source that Carter was going to the NFL.  That is reporting.
