Next season, the loss of Tosh is going to show at UW.  Shaq was the biggest of the big recruits of his time there, the #1 or #2 safety prospect in the country.  Over the last two years, they will have lost Seferian-Jenkins, Sankey, Kasen Williams, and now Shelton, Kikaha, Shaq and Peters.  Peterson and his UW staff show no signs they can recruit near that level.

We still will have to face guys like those, of course.  But they'll be in UCLA, Low APR U, and Oregon uniforms now.

Petersen showed at Boise State that he can take somewhat middling talent and, at least on a given day, compete with just about anyone.

The $64 question,of course, is whether he will able to do it on a week to week basis against Pac-12 level competition.

If he shows he can, I think Husky recruiting will pick up. Until then, it will definitely help our recruiting in the Pacific Northwest.
