I never said Sanders was the best. Please don't put words in my mouth.
Those words were that I thought you had Sanders on the top of the list of those needing more touches. That certainly seemed the sense of your post. But I'd never hold you to it.

McCaffrey is a 201 pound back who is touching the ball 30 times per game on average. I don't think I am equating "needs more touches" and "Sanders is the best." I didn't say he should get 30 touches a game and McCaffrey should average 5. I think there's a little wiggle room there.
Do we really thinking giving a 201 pound sophomore the ball thirty times a game is not inviting injury? Look, I get that McCaffrey is a special back. But Sanders is averaging almost ten yards a carry. TEN. If Sanders had enough carries to qualify, he would be #2 in the NCAA. McCaffrey is currently #51. But the minimum carries per game to be considered is ten.

This is getting bizarro. The more I try to agree with you, the more you seem to get upset with my posts.
My words were "Sanders on the top of the list for more touches". Your words were "I never said Sanders was the best".
The last go-round I was agreeing that McCaffrey's touches should be looked at and started counting - looking at both season averages and the last two games.
To recap, McCaffrey is averaging 28.4 touches per game: 21 rushes, 3 catches, 1.6 punt returns, and 2.8 kickoff returns.
His punt returns were perhaps his best plays last year, but so far this year they haven't been particularly impressive. So that would be a good choice for cutting back - and Sanders seems to be the next guy up there. On kickoff returns he has had a couple of very long returns and looks very dangerous there. I would not cut back his receptions. That gets to carries from scrimmage. For purposes of keeping everyone involved, I could see cutting back a little but he's too good to cut back too far. I volunteered aiming for 20 per game. What's your target?
All of this still adds up to thinking that while it would be nice to get Sanders more touches (as it would for several other players: Love, Irwin, Cajuste) finding those touches is difficult.
