What stood out for me watching the first half of this game was the tackling by the defense and the play calling by the coaches.Â
It seemed that whenever the Buffs had a decent pass play they rarely picked up any YAC. I don't really recall the defense missing a tackle, often stopping the Colorado runner within 5 yards or less of the catch.Â
The play call of the day was the Schultz touchdown. Colorado, digging in hard for the jumbo package at the goal line on 4th and 1 and sensing that a stop could change momentum, were totally fooled by Hogan selling the fake for the easy TD lob.Â
And of course, Stanford Quarterback, #8, Kevin Hogan.
