Yup. Mike Sanford Sr. was very briefly at Stanford (2002).
His son was at Stanford for I believe three years under Shaw.

Mike Sanford Sr. has been a head coach at Indiana State for the last three seasons. This isn't news.
The rumour mill is that Mike Sanford Jr., our former RB and QB coach and current ND OC, is going to be the next Virginia head coach.
