W Tennis: Lord/Zhao doubles match is starting now

For those who might be confused like me about the scoring after the teams split the first two sets, " In doubles, a 10-point match tiebreaker will be played in lieu of a third set."
"We have an unwritten rule around here not to do anything stupid."

Lord/Zhao made a good showing against the #2 seed, losing 11-9 in the tiebreaker as third set. Now they can retreat to their home base and finalize their plans for world domination, or at least finals domination.
Davidson/Doyle lost in 2 sets to a Fresno State team they had handled 6-4 during a non-conference match earlier this season. Very windy conditions, but I wonder if they were just spent from team play.

Thanks for the summary. Are we all done for individual single/doubles? I skimmed the bracket earlier today and it didn't look like we even entered anyone in the singles?
Davidson was in the singles bracket but I think she dropped out after the team final, so didn't play. It's really tough to play a singles match the day after playing doubles and singles in the team competition for 2 days in a row. When Nicole Gibbs did it in 2013, she only won her first-round match 7-5 6-4 against an unseeded opponent from Arkansas--even though she won the singles championship as a clearly dominant player.

They definitely left it all out there on the court then. Impressive that Lord/Zhao were able to come that close to beating such a highly-seeded opponent!
