He'll be with the Bengals through 2019 after signing with them as a UDFA in 2014.
The rest of the article is pretty informative too--Hewitt is getting a step ahead of those who were drafted in 2014, and I didn't realize how good the Bengals had run the ball in the second half of last year's season.

Quote:Hewitt was signed out of Stanford University and appeared in all 16 games while making 11 starts as a rookie in 2014. He started 12 times and appeared in 15 games last year, helping spearhead the running game in front of Jeremy Hill that led the NFL in rushing over the final nine weeks of the year.
"Ryan came to us undrafted and quickly became an integral part of our offense, Marvin Lewis said. Hes a strong and physical player. His role of doing the dirty work may go unnoticed sometimes by the public, but it is never unnoticed by his teammates or our opponents.
He has also caught 18 passes for 185 yards, building on his time playing tight end at Stanford. His versatility in playing both tight end and his primary fullback spot increase his value, particularly when injuries arrive as they have with Tyler Eifert working back from ankle surgery.
"I definitely take majority of snaps at fullback but when guys down or things happen in games where guys get hurt its good to know your role," Hewitt said. "At this point coach is having us all work in and see who is going to be the best fit (filling in for Eifert). Im just one of those guys I just want to help the team. If they want me at fullback Ill do that if they want me at tight end Ill do that. Well see."
